For the last two  thousands of years.  They are Korean land.

Located in the middle of/ East Sea we call

They comprise two main isles/ East and West Islets

Everybody wants to be there/ 'cause of the holy sights

Everybody wants to be there/ hoping to meet seagulls

Yes, nobody is greedy for them/ 'cause of the holy sights

But some people covet them/ that is real nonsense!

Korea Korea/ proud to be Koreans      I'm willing to/die for the peace of Korea

Dokdo the peaceful islands  have been/parts of Korean hearts

Since the Shilla King Jijung/conquered Usan Land

Though the long war was over/, some ones feel no  peace yet

Foolish men start to say /silly empty talks    

Everybody wants to be there/'cause of the holy sights

Everybody wants to be there/hoping to meet seagulls

Yes, nobody is greedy for them/'cause of the holy sights

But some people covet them/that is real nonsense!

아름다운 섬 독도는 한국의 땅입니다
지난 이천년 동안 한국의 땅입니다.
우리 모두 동해라고 부르는 바다 한가운데 있죠.
동도와 서도 두개의 섬입니다.
 
우리 모두 성스런 그 모습 느끼고 싶어 그 섬에 가려합니다.
우리 모두 바다갈매기 만나보고 싶어 그 섬에 가려합니다.
그래요, 성스런 모습을 가졌다고 독도를 욕심내는 사람은 없죠.
그런데 어떤 이들이 독도를 탐내고 있네요. 정말 말도 안되는 소리죠!
 
대한민국, 대한민국, 한국인이란 사실이 자랑스럽습니다.
대한민국의 평화를 위해서라면 목숨을 바칠겁니다.
독도, 독도, 나의 명예를 걸고  끝까지 지킬 겁니다.
독도를 사랑합니다. 영원히 영원히

평화의 섬 독도는 한국인의 마음입니다.
신라 지증왕이 정복한 이래 한국인의 마음이 되었습니다.
기나긴 전쟁이 끝났건만 평화를 느끼지 못하는 사람이 있네요.
어리석은 사람들, 헛소리를 늘어놓기 시작했습니다.

 

우리 모두 성스런 그 모습 느끼고 싶어 그 섬에 가려합니다.
우리 모두 바다갈매기 만나보고 싶어 그 섬에 가려합니다.
